Today's Speech Day. A yearly event. Very formal. Yet exciting and unforgettable. The parade was quite a success. I mean to my sjab. Marching and timing. Of course, arm swing, were all good. After the parade was the concert and stuff. I practised a little on my flagbearer part which is on sjab day. Then, chilled out a bit when we had over lousy burgers. Grace, wongmin and I decided to change and catch the last exciting part of the concert. Basically, they are just the choir, malay dance, guzheng and band performance. All of them were fantabulous. Choir was a bit bland. The songs and everything. I missed the guzheng part; was in the toilet changing and interacting with the juniors. The band and malay dance were one of the best. The malay dance group deserved their silver award this year at the syf. Totally awesome. Maybe it's because the song is very melodic and had a very good line to it. Band was good too. They created the atmosphere for their music and I could really feel it. After all the traditional goodbyes of the dunearnite society, we were totally revitalised when the balloons, that hang down from the celling of the hall, dropped down like humungous rain droplets and the teachers stationed at the gallery released their 'party poppers'. Confetti and balloons. A very good combination. I loved the ending. Or the finale. The confetti and balloons. Not the traditional sing-along session with the participants of the concert.
Look outside
Birds are free
Clouds are fluffy
I see them all
Feel the outside
Breeze is calming
Light is energy
I feel them all
Yet I can't describe
What the energy I felt
Of happiness and excitment
Cause they are all uncomparable
To these materialistic things.
